About En-Suites & Bathrooms

Builder-led bathroom design from a Fulham trade background

Born and raised in Fulham. Trained in real West London houses.

En-Suites & Bathrooms was founded by Nicholas Griffith, born and raised in Fulham, after a lifetime around building, plumbing and property renovation. It brings together the family trade background he grew up in, years of bathroom and plumbing work, local council bathroom experience and a modern way of helping customers plan bathrooms, cloakrooms and en-suites properly.

Local roots

A lifetime around building, plumbing and bathrooms

Nicholas Griffith was born and raised in Fulham and has worked in the building trade since the age of 16. Long before En-Suites & Bathrooms existed, he was working in real Fulham houses with his father’s building company, learning on site, in lived-in homes, around the kind of building problems that never show up properly in a brochure.

That background matters. Older West London properties often come with awkward pipe routes, uneven floors, tired bathrooms, hidden services, poor ventilation, altered layouts and rooms that need practical thinking before the design is finalised.

En-Suites & Bathrooms is built from that experience: design that looks good, but only after the room, the plumbing, the structure and the build have been properly understood.

Family building work in Fulham

Family building background

From family building work to modern bathroom design

The story behind En-Suites & Bathrooms comes from a family trade background: London building work, Fulham property renovation, plumbing, bathrooms and the practical work that sits behind every finished room.

London building roots

Nicholas’s father Joe and his brothers Stan and Bob came to London from Bradford in 1962. Joe was a bricklayer, Stan was a plasterer and Bob had an engineering background from Bradford University.

Real site experience

Their early work included major London projects, including Millbank Tower, before Joe and Bob later built up Armour Trading Building Co. and moved deeper into buying, improving and renovating London properties.

Fulham houses

The family story also runs through Fulham. Joe spent many years around local property renovation, improving and altering houses across the area while Nicholas grew up learning how old properties actually behave.

Real building work behind the name

For Nicholas, the family trade was not something spoken about from a distance. It was part of daily life. Through Armour Trading Building Co., his father Joe worked on houses, renovations and property improvements across Fulham and West London, including years of renovation work connected with John Tobin and Wilton Trust.

For Nicholas, this was simply the world he grew up in: properties being bought, opened up, repaired, changed and brought back to life around Fulham. His teens and twenties were spent around proper property renovation: finding old pipework, dealing with tired walls and floors, solving site problems and learning why a good finish depends on the preparation behind it.

That is the difference En-Suites & Bathrooms wants customers to feel. The understanding behind the business comes from years around real Fulham building work, practical bathroom experience and time spent inside real customers’ homes.

What this means today

A bathroom business with real trade roots

En-Suites & Bathrooms has grown out of Nicholas’s lifetime around Fulham building work, family renovation projects, plumbing, bathrooms and working inside real customers’ homes.

That is the balance behind the company: modern presentation, clear communication and better planning, supported by the kind of trade experience that only comes from years around actual building work.

The aim is simple: to help customers create bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms that feel properly thought through from the first conversation to the finished room.

Nicholas’s own experience

From hands-on plumbing and bathrooms to planning better projects

After years working through the family building background, Nicholas went on to run his own plumbing business and build his own customer base across London. That work gave him direct experience in people’s homes, dealing with leaks, bathrooms, pipework, repairs, call-outs and the trust needed when working inside someone’s property.

More recently, Nicholas has also worked as a subcontractor carrying out plumbing and bathroom work for local council housing. That experience reinforced the same lesson: bathrooms need to be planned properly, checked properly and built around the real condition of the property.

As time moves on, En-Suites & Bathrooms is the next step: using that hands-on knowledge to survey, design, plan and manage projects with experienced trades, rather than simply being on the tools every day. Customers still benefit from the trade experience — but with clearer presentation, better planning and one person taking responsibility for the route from idea to finished room.

Personally overseen

You deal directly with the person responsible

Nicholas personally surveys projects, helps shape the design, checks the practical installation route and remains involved throughout the work. The aim is simple: to bring trade knowledge into the planning stage early, so there is one clear route from first conversation to finished room.

You deal directly with Nicholas from the first conversation, through the survey, design decisions and the important stages of the work. He uses experienced trades for the right parts of the job and regularly checks progress during the project.

Direct involvement from survey to handover
Regular site visits during the work
Trusted, experienced tradespeople used for the right parts of the job

One clear route

The aim is to keep the important decisions connected: the first conversation, the site visit, the design, the practical checks and the installation route.

Customers get a modern, organised service, but with trade knowledge guiding the details behind the finish.

En-Suites & Bathrooms today

A family trade background brought forward into a modern bathroom office

En-Suites & Bathrooms is the modern version of that background: a bathroom, en-suite and cloakroom office where practical building knowledge comes first, supported by design visuals, clear quotations and clear communication.

Nicholas’s son Brandon supports the office and customer-facing side of the business, helping with enquiries, appointments and presentation. It continues the family link, but in a more modern setting.

The goal is to give customers the confidence of dealing with people who understand not only how the finished room should look, but how it should actually be built, managed and checked along the way.
